Nestled in the heart of Nelson County wine country, Flying Fox Vineyard is a small, family-run winery. After many years of growing grapes we recently made the leap and started producing our own wines. We invite you to come by and taste our limited production wines including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Viognier. Rotating art exhibits by local guest artists, a winter fireplace and summer patio will encourage you to linger a while at Flying Fox as you “Explore Nelson Wine.”

Our Tasting Room is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday 11:00-6:00pm. We are open every day in October and closed from December 22 through March 26, 2009. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Tasting fee of $4 includes tasting of all wines and a souvenir glass.

From Charlottesville: I-64 west to exit 107. Turn left on Rt. 250 west for 6 miles to Rt. 151. Turn left on Rt. 151 for 7 miles. Turn right onto Chapel Hollow Road.

From Staunton: I-64 east to exit 99. Go east on Rt. 250 for 3.5 miles to Rt. 151. Turn right on Ft. 151 for 7 miles. Turn Right onto Chapel Hollow Road.
From Lynchburg: Take 29 north to Rt. 6. Turn left onto Rt. 6 for 5.7 miles. Turn right onto Ft. 151 for 1.6 miles. Turn left onto Chapel Hollow
